<p><strong>Job Title: Production Worker</strong><p><strong>Now Hiring!</strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>As a Production Worker, you will operate and monitor production processes including mixing, extrusion, polishing, and finishing. You will be responsible for measuring and loading ingredients, running equipment, transferring batches, and ensuring product quality meets specifications.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Read and follow manufacturing order instructions to gather, measure, weigh, and document ingredients needed for mixing.</li><li>Load ingredients, which may weigh up to 50 lbs., into a mixer and blend them based on time specifications.</li><li>Unload the mixer and transfer the mixed batch to the next process.</li><li>Process mixed batches through extrusion equipment to create the finished product.</li><li>Conduct product sensory evaluations to ensure the finished product matches customer specifications throughout the extrusion process.</li><li>Manage and transfer finished products from extrusion and drying processes using drums, carts, or trays.</li><li>Apply the 'finishing touch' on products using the panning process by loading finished products into polishing pans and adding liquid ingredients by hand or automation.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>1+ year of recent manufacturing experience in production.</li><li>Experience with mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing, and finishing is preferred.</li><li>Ability to use hand tools such as RF scanners, hand trucks, and sifting screeners.</li><li>Capacity to lift/move up to 56 lbs. with or without accommodation.</li><li>Strong English and math skills; ability to read/write and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, manuals, and shipping documents.</li><li>Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays; reliable, flexible, and a team player.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Training provided for candidates with less experience.</li><li>Hands-on training and opportunities for promotion from within.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>Experience a smaller company feel with a focus on valuing employees. Enjoy a tour of the facility before starting and adhere to GMP rules, including wearing a uniform, hair net, beard net, safety shoes, and washing up before entering the floor. Required to sanitize boots and wash and sanitize hands before entering each room. The facility includes 8 production rooms and 4 packaging lines.</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. <p> Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
