About the Role

Our client, a dynamic technology startup located in Benoni , Gauteng, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join their growing finance team. The successful candidate will support senior analysts and the finance manager in providing critical financial insights that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and dashboards. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecasts. Perform data gathering and analysis for various financial projects. Help in developing financial models for business cases and scenario planning. Maintain and update financial databases and records. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management. Assist in reconciling financial data and identifying any discrepancies. Learn and apply financial analysis techniques and tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and their financial impact. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) is essential. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting. Eagerness to learn and develop within the finance field. Basic knowledge of financial modeling is a plus.
