Deloitte Real Estate professionals keep current on the latest changes that impact corporate portfolios, enabling clients to focus on their business objectives while we address the Real Estate requirements.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking Professional Cost Managers/ Quantity Surveyors at junior and senior levels to join our dynamic growing team in Johannesburg, over the next 6 months, and thus this is a <strong>pipeline role*</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal individual should have a strong background in cost management, feasibilities, commercial controls, cost estimation, financial reporting, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Cost Planning & Estimation: </strong></p><ul><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) where needed. Experience in CostX is advantageous.</li><li>Provide detailed feasibility studies for a wide range of Real Estate projects and accurate cost advice throughout the design, implement and construction phases.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Admin, Tendering & Procurement:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage tender processes, including preparation of prequalification, tender lists, tender documents and evaluation of bids. Experience in PPP projects advantageous</li><li>Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and value for money</li><li>Experience with JBCC / FIDIC / GCC advantageous</li><li>Administer cost control, Interim valuations, progress payments, change orders, and final accounts</li><li>Manage contractual KPI’s</li><li>Monthly reporting and monitoring against approved budgets, cash flows and pre-approved targets</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>*Pipeline Role</strong>: We are proactively building a talent pipeline for future opportunities. If your skills and experience align with our future hiring needs, we will reach out when a suitable position becomes available.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying.</li><li>Professional Registration (Mandatory): Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with the SACQSP or RICS.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5+ years in quantity surveying within the built environment.</li><li>3 to 4 years’ experience at management level</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Technical Competencies:</strong></p><p>Proficient in Dimension X, CostX, WinQS, and Microsoft Excel for measurement and cost management.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Behavioural Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with other business units within Deloitte and the client.</li><li>Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.</li><li>Demonstrate high energy, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow.</li><li>Communicate and engage effectively with stakeholders.</li></ul>
