About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and customer-focused Product Support Representative to join our Gauteng team. We are seeking a technically minded professional with strong customer relationship skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service and support within the material handling industry.

The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between customers, technicians, suppliers and internal departments, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving business growth and operational efficiency.

 

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong sales background plus the technical knowledge.

Strong sales background in a similar industry would also suffice, even without the technical knowledge where training will be provided. You should have a similar background: forklifts, material handling, heavy machinery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide cost-effective solutions to customer requirements.
  • Generate and follow up on quotations.
  • Source parts and liaise with suppliers.
  • Coordinate and supervise field service technicians.
  • Manage maintenance contracts and rental fleet activities.
  • Resolve customer and debtor-related queries.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor WIP and ensure service activities remain current.
  • Support workshop and sales teams where required.
  • Provide regular operational feedback to management.
  • Resolve technical issues in accordance with company standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

 

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Valid driver's licence that has been actively used for at least 4 years.
  • Experience within the forklift, materials handling, industrial equipment, or related technical environment.
  • Ability to travel for customer visits throughout Gauteng.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
