Reverse Recruiter / Headhunter — Sports, Talent Management & Creator Economy

I’m looking for an experienced recruiter, headhunter, or executive search professional to help me identify and pursue highly targeted opportunities within sports, talent management, the creator economy, and entertainment.

This is not simply a job-board research assignment. I’m looking for someone who can use recruiting relationships, direct outreach, and executive sourcing to get my background in front of relevant companies and decision-makers.

My Background

I am the founder of an NIL-focused sports management business with experience building a basketball talent operation from the ground up. My experience includes athlete recruitment and representation, 50+ NIL brand partnerships, relationships throughout Division I and professional basketball (NBA G League), and experience with Excel Sports Management.

During my time with Excel, I also developed a strategic framework focused on how emerging NIL agencies can recruit, position, and develop basketball talent in the current college sports environment.

I am now looking for opportunities where an established organization provides the infrastructure and resources for an entrepreneurial operator to build and lead a specialized talent agency, roster, division, or vertical. My specialty would be NIL and basketball talent management.

What I’m Hiring You To Do

I want you to represent me in the market through a combination of headhunting, reverse recruiting, candidate marketing, and targeted business development.

This can include:

Identifying companies that could benefit from launching or expanding an NIL/basketball talent vertical.

Identifying founders, executives, heads of talent, recruiters, and other relevant decision-makers.

Proactively presenting my background and proposed NIL basketball vertical to companies even when no position is publicly advertised.

Conducting targeted outreach and follow-up on my behalf.

Generating introductions, interviews, and exploratory conversations with relevant organizations.

Finding existing openings that closely match this model when you can help get my application directly in front of the company, recruiter, hiring manager, or relevant decision-maker.

Leveraging your own recruiting relationships or network where applicable.

Maintaining an organized pipeline of companies, contacts, outreach, responses, applications, introductions, and conversations.

Target Opportunity

The ideal opportunity is an “agency within an agency” or entrepreneurial division-builder model.

I’m interested in established talent agencies, creator management companies,, marketing agencies, entertainment/media companies, or similar organizations willing to back an entrepreneurial operator who can build a specialized talent business.

Ideally, the organization provides infrastructure, resources, relationships, and financial backing while I bring the NIL/basketball expertise, recruiting strategy, industry network, talent acquisition, and agency-building experience.

I’m particularly interested in opportunities involving:

Base salary or guaranteed compensation

Commission, revenue participation, or performance upside

Significant autonomy/ Remote

Ability to recruit and build my own talent roster

Infrastructure and operational support

Opportunity to eventually build a team

Potential to integrate or build upon my existing LP Sports Management brand/business

Existing Job Openings Are Welcome — With Added Value

I am absolutely open to existing publicly advertised opportunities if they strongly match what I’m looking for. However, simply sending me a public job-board link is not a deliverable. If you identify an existing position, I’m looking for you to add value by helping get my application directly to the recruiter, hiring manager, agency executive, or another relevant contact whenever possible. The goal is access and opportunity creation, not compiling job listings.

Ideal Freelancer

Strong candidates may have experience in:

Executive recruiting, executive search, headhunting, reverse recruiting, candidate marketing, business development, sports/entertainment recruiting, creator economy recruiting, or talent agency recruiting. Experience within sports, entertainment, creator/influencer management, talent agencies, or marketing agencies is especially valuable. You should be comfortable with direct outreach, identifying senior decision-makers, positioning a candidate strategically, and creating conversations that may not otherwise occur.

When applying, please tell me:

Your experience directly representing candidates to companies.

Whether you have successfully generated interviews or opportunities that were not publicly advertised.

Whether you can directly introduce or present candidates to recruiters/hiring managers rather than only submitting online applications.

Industries and professional networks you have experience within.

How you would approach this specific search.

An example of a similar candidate-marketing or reverse-recruiting project.
