Media Manager/Content Creator

This is a dynamic, dual-function position between creative content creation and digital media management.

  • Content Strategy: The manager is responsible for storytelling, high-quality video/photo production, and maintaining the WHP legacy while highlighting our growth as a turn-key fire training tower business.
  • Media Execution: The manager serves as the digital heartbeat of WHP, developing impactful photo/video/graphic media and collaborating with customers and external partners to optimize our digital presence across all channels.

This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Production, and external agencies to ensure our brand resonates with key personas like “City Official” and “Architect”. Candidates must be creative, professional, and dedicated to empowering firefighter training through compelling digital narratives.

Job Title:

Media Manager/Content Creator

Role Structure:

Remote (Kansas City based) with periodic work required in Grandview, MO (Home office/factory), and national travel

Base Salary:

$50k-$60k

Reporting Managers:

Marketing Manager

Primary Location:

Grandview, MO (Home office/factory)

Schedule:

8:00-4:30 business hours with occasional travel for events or on-site content shoots as required.

Essential Job Duties

  • Content Creation

Storytelling & Production:

  • Capture high-quality video and photography of Alarm Series installations, MODx installations and Padgenite lining systems in action.
  • Develop a compelling video series where employees star in educational shorts highlighting material science and why we do things the WHP way.
  • Create social media snippets and "behind-the-scenes" features highlighting the WHP team and production process.
  • Media & Digital Management

Digital Strategy & Analytics:

  • Track and interpret campaign performance across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Coordinate with external partners like marketing agencies and fire industry media to optimize digital ads and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and organize WHP photo/video archive.
  • Ensure all digital assets align with the brand guide and specific buyer personas for municipal and architectural leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Cross-Departmental Expectations & Requirements

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Construction, and Production to ensure content is technically accurate and strategically aligned with customer needs.
  • Requirements: A portfolio of creative work, 3 years experience in marketing/communications, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Preferred: A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Drone experience.
