About the position

As a Senior Brand Manager supporting the Roastery business, you will lead the integrated brand, customer experience, and category agenda across the U.S. Roasteries. This role is responsible for bringing the Starbucks Roastery brand to life through coffee, merchandise, food and beverage innovation, digital storytelling, events and experiences, partnerships, and customer-facing marketing initiatives that drive engagement, business performance, and brand affinity. Leading a team that includes Manager, Digital Brand; Manager, Category, Food, Beverage and Merchandise; and Program Manager, Events & Experiences, you will ensure initiatives are aligned, prioritized, and executed with excellence across the Roastery ecosystem. You will serve as a key member of the U.S. Roastery leadership team, working cross-functionally to translate business objectives into distinctive customer experiences that strengthen the Starbucks Roastery brand and support business growth. This role also partners closely with the Milan Roastery brand team, helping ensure alignment with the broader Starbucks Roastery brand vision while adapting programs, campaigns, products, and experiences to meet the needs of the U.S. market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the U.S. Roastery brand and customer experience agenda – Develop and oversee annual and seasonal plans that connect food and beverage innovation, merchandise, digital marketing, events, partnerships, and customer experiences to support business objectives and strengthen the Starbucks Roastery brand.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team – Provide leadership, coaching, and direction for the Digital Brand, Food, Beverage and merchandise Category, and Events & Experiences teams, ensuring priorities are aligned and resources are focused on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Bring campaigns and experiences to life – Lead the planning and execution of product launches, seasonal activations, coffee introductions, events, tours, partnerships, and experiential programming across U.S. Roastery locations.
  • Drive operational excellence – Ensure initiatives move efficiently from concept to implementation through strong planning, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, budget management, and execution discipline. Remove barriers and establish processes that enable teams to deliver with excellence.
  • Leverage insights to improve performance – Utilize customer insights, market trends, category performance, and campaign results to identify opportunities, evaluate effectiveness, and optimize future initiatives.
  • Build strategic partnerships – Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, agencies, and suppliers to enhance customer engagement and support business objectives. Collaborate closely with the Milan Roastery team and global Starbucks Roastery partners to share learnings and advance the Starbucks brand.
  • Manage business and brand performance – Support annual planning processes, establish goals and performance measures, and ensure investments, resources, and initiatives deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in brand management, category management, customer experience, marketing, hospitality, retail, consumer packaged goods, or related fields
  • Experience leading integrated marketing, customer experience, category, or commercial functions
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience bringing campaigns, product launches, events, and customer-facing initiatives from concept through execution
  • Strong understanding of brand management, customer engagement, category management, and commercial planning
  • Experience developing integrated business plans, managing budgets, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence across functions and drive alignment in a matrixed organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field required
