Webflow Specialist

Our client is a US-based digital marketing agency that works exclusively with local home service businesses — lawn care, landscaping and similar trades. They build the websites those businesses run on, and they measure their own work by whether the phone rings.

We are looking for a full-time Webflow Developer to take ownership of that build work. You will create new client websites in Webflow, maintain and improve an existing portfolio of them, and make sure every page that ships is fast, correctly structured and properly configured for on-page SEO. You do not need to be an SEO strategist — the marketing team sets keyword and campaign direction — but you do need to understand on-page SEO well enough to implement it properly inside Webflow, every time.

This is a remote role working with a US-based team. It suits someone who is organised enough to hold a portfolio of live client sites without letting any of them drift, and self-directed enough to work well without daily supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Webflow Development (primary function)

  • Build new client websites in Webflow from scratch using proven layouts tailored to local home service businesses
  • Update, maintain, and improve existing client sites — adding pages, editing content, updating images, implementing design changes
  • Build responsive, mobile-optimized pages that load fast and convert visitors into leads
  • Implement custom interactions, animations, and CMS collections where applicable
  • Maintain clean, organized Webflow project structures that are easy to hand off, update, and scale
  • Test all pages across devices and browsers before publishing — no broken layouts, no slow pages

On-Page SEO Implementation

  • Implement on-page SEO across all sites: title tags, meta descriptions, H1/H2/H3 hierarchy, image alt text, and URL structure
  • Configure Webflow SEO settings correctly per page — canonical tags, noindex settings, sitemap configuration
  • Optimize page content and structure for target keywords as directed by the marketing team
  • Set up and verify Google Search Console for new sites and confirm proper indexing
  • Ensure all pages meet Core Web Vitals standards — load speed, layout stability, interactivity
  • Implement schema markup where applicable to enhance local search appearance

Local SEO Support

  • Optimize content for local search — location-based landing pages, service-area pages, NAP consistency
  • Build and update location-specific pages for clients targeting multiple service areas
  • Structure sites to support Google Maps and Google Business Profile visibility

Maintenance & Quality Control

  • Manage ongoing updates across the portfolio — content, images, new service pages, promotions
  • Monitor performance and flag issues: broken links, slow loads, form errors, indexing problems
  • Keep all sites current with accurate offers and business information
  • Run regular quality checks for design consistency, mobile responsiveness, and SEO compliance

Collaboration & Communication

  • Align builds and updates with active campaigns, Google Ads landing pages, and SEO initiatives
  • Communicate clearly on timelines, completion status, and blockers
  • Contribute ideas to improve site performance, conversion, and SEO outcomes

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Webflow — you can build complete, responsive sites from scratch and are comfortable with its CMS, interactions, and publishing settings
  • Solid understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals: title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchy, alt text, URL structure, and site speed
  • A strong eye for clean, consistent design aligned to client brand
  • Proven experience building mobile-responsive sites that perform across devices
  • Comfortable managing multiple client sites simultaneously while staying organized
  • Self-directed and reliable in a remote environment — you meet deadlines without constant follow-up

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and basic SEO performance monitoring
  • Working knowledge of local SEO — location pages, service-area targeting, NAP consistency
  • Basic HTML and CSS for custom code embeds or Webflow tweaks
  • Experience with Webflow CMS for blogs, service pages, or dynamic content
  • Familiarity with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Screaming Frog for basic SEO auditing

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You build the SEO in as you go, rather than bolting it on the day before launch.
  • You can hold ten client sites in your head without letting any of them go stale.
  • You notice the small wrong thing — the placeholder text nobody replaced, the link that goes nowhere, the page that never got republished — and you fix it without being asked.
  • You test on a real phone before you publish, not after a client tells you something looks broken.
  • You would rather say "this will be ready Thursday" and mean it than say "soon".
  • You are comfortable being the person who says a page is not ready to ship yet.

What We Offer

  • Up to $10/hour
  • 100% remote work
  • Full-time role
