Remote Debt Collection Specialist (Purchased Paper) – No Weekends

Base pay: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls to consumers about delinquent purchased debt accounts.
  • Use skip-tracing tools to locate consumers.
  • Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements within established guidelines.
  • Manage your collection pipeline, maintain accurate account records, and complete timely follow-ups.
  • Handle consumer interactions professionally, including disputes and required disclosures.
  • Work toward account recovery goals while complying with the FDCPA, FCRA, and applicable state regulations.

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of third-party collections experience, including at least 1 year working with purchased paper, dormant judgments, or salvage debt.
  • Familiarity with auto-dialers, CRM software, and standard skip-tracing platforms.
  • Ability to accurately explain the Mini-Miranda disclosure, handle disputes, and understand how state statutes of limitations affect communications about legal action.
  • Remote Discipline: Proven track record of hitting target metrics in a work-from-home environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills, with a professional approach to working with consumers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Computer and typing skills, including the ability to navigate multiple systems while speaking with consumers.
  • Strong time-management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and the motivation to meet goals independently while contributing to a team.

Preferred: Knowledge of personal loans or financial services.
